This paper presents a multi-layer Denisyuk ‘volume’ hologram optimised for smart phone authentication. Designed with a fringe structure that filters reflective colour to activate a quick response (QR) code in multiple wavelengths, the hologram features both overt and covert encrypted information that can be co-dependent in successful authentication.
