In this contribution we present an approach to integrate two different chemical components as dynamic control elements in a banknote. Hence, a Physico-chemical digital product memory is generated for self-authentication on various points in the cash cycle, like Point-of-Sale or ATM. The components modifiable optical characteristics serve as time indicators and switches or data storage on a molecular level
