This paper examines the principles of visual examination of nano-optical structures exhibiting clearly recognizable features like dynamics, three-dimensionality and colour-changing. We have generated special structures for smartphone verification to overcome the unknown positioning of the examining smartphone and we also describe a new base material with an additional resistant layer that secures the holographic micro relief even in adverse environments.
